Acrylics Summer School
Following the success of last year’s Acrylics Summer School at Creative Heart, Beach Road, Littlehampton, we shall be repeating it. Classes will be from Tuesday 27th to Friday 30th August 2024, from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm.
Cost: £35.00 per day or £100.00 for all 4 days. Materials supplied, just bring an apron.

Drawing Courses
I am teaching three consecutive courses on Drawing at Brighton MET in Pelham Road, Brighton. All will run between 7.00 and 9.00 pm on Monday evenings starting
on 16th September 2024.
The first course will be for complete beginners and is called ‘Think You Can’t Draw?’
It goes right from the absolute basics to drawing a portrait in 10 weeks! This has been an important course for getting people into art and taking it as far as they want to go.
The second course starting in January 2025 is called ‘Keep Drawing!’ and is for those who have started drawing but don’t find the time or space to develop their art. It revolves around keeping a sketchbook and is fun course and an introduction to many different techniques.
The third course starting in April 2025 is called ‘Exploring Drawing’ and is for those who want to experiment with drawing and take it into further depths.

Painting & Drawing: A History of Art Materials
I am repeating this course at Northbrook, West Durrington, Worthing on Thursday evenings from 18th September 2024 – 7.00-9.00 pm.
We shall be looking at the history of art materials from cave painting to modern methods. We shall start by making our own paint and move on to charcoal, graphite and egg tempera. In the following terms we shall go from watercolour to oil paint, acrylics and Sharpies.

Cost: £348.00 for the whole 30 week course, or £120.00 per 10 week term.

The first course ‘Acrylics for Beginners’ will be for those wishing to learn how to use this versatile medium – even if you haven’t painted before. The second course starting in January 2025: ‘Exploring Acrylics’ will be for those wanting to experiment further, trying out new techniques. In April 2025 there will be a course for the more advanced student,
‘Acrylics from Life’, for those who wishes to paint from life – still life, portraits, life models
and landscapes.
